Kidnapper ‘has taken everything away from us, the whole family’

ANGEL’S PARENTS SPEAK OUT ON NATIONAL TV

- By COREY BEDFORD News Reporter

THE parents of Angel Lynn have spoken on national television about the impact of their daughter’s injuries and how her life is forever changed.

Angel suffered catastrophic injuries after she fell on to the A6 from the van her former boyfriend had bundled her into when kidnapping her.

She was left with a brain injury that means the 21-year-old is in a catatonic state, needing roundthecare.

Her ex-boyfriend, Chay Bowskill, 20, of Empingham Drive, Syston, was jailed for seven-and-a-half years.

Speaking to Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, Angel’s mum, Nikki, was asked how she felt about the verdict.

She said: “I was devastated. Angel’s just got no life now, ever. We don’t know if she’ll ever walk, talk, eat.”

Her dad, Patrick, talking about what she was like before the injuries, said: “She was just beautiful.”

Nikki said: “She was amazing, beautiful. She was good fun, she was really happy before she met him, she had lots of friends. Now, he’s just taken everything away from us, the whole family.” Patrick said: “She had her whole life ahead of her, her hopes, dreams.”

Nikki said she would never be able to forgive Bowskill for what he had done.

A spokeswoman for the Attorney General’s office said: “We have received a request for this sentence to be considered under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.

“The Law Officers have 28 days from sentencing to consider the case and make a decision.”

A second man, Rocco Sansome, 20, of Birstall, was also found guilty of kidnap. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
