Enjoy brew and banter at this gem of a centre

-

LOUGHBOROUGH John Storer House has been serving the community for over 50 years now!

I started volunteering there a few months ago.

A lot of people think it’s just for elderly people or people with disabilities, and they also believe you need to be a member to use the facilities.

I would just like to spread awareness of this little gem in Loughborough town centre.

The refurbished cafe is fantastic, the prices are very reasonable, and it’s for all ages! And no, you don’t have to be a member to enjoy it.

There are many groups and activities, which are weekly or monthly.

There is a shop for purchasing handmade items. There is the new Your Store, which is opening very soon.

And they did so much over the pandemic to help out and really deserve some love and appreciation!

Also, I will be starting a baby/child swap shop soon, which enables parents to come in and swap clothes, toys, books and so on for other items. They also have a baby swap shop where people can come and donate items they don’t need and swap them for items they need.

Also, if people don’t have anything to donate, they are welcome to make a contribution towards the charity and grab a few items.

We want to encourage less clothing, toys, and books to be thrown away and more recycling and swapping.

It’s also a lovely way for parents to socialise and grab a cuppa whilst doing something wonderful for the community.

We will be revamping the cafe menu very soon, but you can pick up a traditional cooked breakfast for only £4.50 and a cuppa for £1!
