Bull and Bush Lions roar to top of table

AFTER the exploits of the cup there was a full league fixture in the Spot on sponsored Loughborou­gh and District Pubs and Club’s darts League on Thursday night.

It was all change at the top of Division One with previous leaders Ring O Bells LH losing 7-2 at the Bottom Railway DS a result which puts them second. Dean Maxwell and Ben Quenby hitting 180’s for the Railway. The Ring O Bells dropped to third. The new top spot belongs to the Bull and Bush Lions who beat Barrow Cons club Waggs Gang 7-2. Five points separate the top three.

Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes gained their first victory of the season 8-1 over Bull and Bush Laughing boys. Paul Williams with a 180 and Chris Northage a 120 finish for the Foxes. On a night of big finishes Bush Rejects beat Barrow Cons club Mick the Flicks 7-2. Mick Towell with a 154 finish and Neil McHugh with a 110 for the Rejects. Royal Oak Shooters beat Fat Sams Exiles 6-3. Both teams getting a 180 Connor Ferguson for the Exiles and Neil Pullen for the Shooters.

Despite losing Spot on Beauties and the Beasties still lead Division Two by three points they lost 5-4 to The Crown.

Three Nuns Albion’s are second although they also lost 5-4 to third place Spot on Foxes.

Royal Oak Old UN’s beat The Plough Hopefuls 6-3. Mick Wootton with a 116 finish. Top Railway Keep the faith win 5-4 at the Three Nuns Blue Army and in the all Shepshed affair between Top Railway Laffables and Black Swan Jolly Sailors. The Jolly Sailors won 7-2.

The lead changed hands for the first time in Division Three as the Swan in the Rushes A lost their first game of the season 7-2 away at The Peacock A-Team although they are only three points behind and have a game in hand on the new leaders Three Nuns Doubleitus who won 6-3 at The Fennel Dartaholic­s.

Fat Sam 26ers are third a further point behind with a game in hand after their 7-2 away win over The Dewdrop. They hold a six point advantage on the Spot on Waifs and Strays who beat Bull and Bush County 6-3. In the other game Three Crowns Hathern beat Payne’s Army 7-2.

The final 100% record went as White Horse Won Tons lost 5-4 to Three Nuns No Habits they are three points clear of Black Swan B Team who beat Greenfield Wildcats 7-2.

Barrow Cons Club 26ers are third after their 7-2 win over The Boating Boyz. After their cup winning upset last week Tap and Clapper followed this up with a 6-3 away win over Spot on No Stars and Barrow Cons Club Discontinu­ed beat White Stags 5-4.

The draw for the Quarter Finals of both Cup competitio­ns was drawn live on Facebook Thursday evening and the ties can be found on the league’s Facebook page and each Divisions What’s App pages.

The ties will be played Thursday February 9, this is also an opportunit­y for teams who have games in hand to also catch up.
