Dynamo pegged back twice as they have to settle for draw

-

LOUGHBOROUGH Dynamo threw away a lead twice as they drew 2-2 at Sutton Coldfield writes James Kendrick.

The result means that The Moes have now only won three of their last 18 games in all competitions with no win in their last eight.

Dynamo looked lively early on and took the game to their opponents in one of only two games in the league that survived the cold weather.

In particular, Dynamo left back Brandon Webster looked lively and was delivering some great crosses into the box in the first half.

However, Sutton Coldfield had their fair share of chances as well. Despite only scoring three goals in their last eight games in all competitions, it was only because of Dynamo keeper Lewis King that they didn’t score a hatful in this game.

Halfway through the first half Sutton Coldfield had a free kick from 25 yards that Lewis King just about tipped over the bar.

And two minutes later Dynamo were ahead. Tyreace Palmer did very well to force an error out of the defender and win the ball. Eventually the ball found Evan Garnett on the edge of the box who turned and shot and he found the bottom corner to make it 1-0.

Sutton Coldfield looked to bounce back quite quickly and they were back in the game just before half time. Rhys Hilton picked the ball up in the middle of the Dynamo half and weaved his way in and out of four tackles before rounding the keeper and having a tap in to an empty net.

The second half followed a similar pattern as both teams pushed to try and find a win.

Dynamo were back ahead just ten minutes into the second half after a goal from captain Rob Norris. He got put through and goal and managed to sort his feet out in time to finish past the keeper and make it 2-1.

But again they couldn’t hold onto their lead as Ceesay Dampha equalised with 20 minutes to go.

This set up a frantic end-to-end finish with both sides pushing for a winner and both teams went close but couldn’t find the winner.

After the game Dynamo manager Brad Munn was frustrated that his side didn’t win the game despite going ahead twice but remains upbeat about turning his sides form around.
