HINCKLEY LRFC 0 SHEPSHED DYNAMO 1 Northern Premier League Midland Division

SHEPSHED Dynamo took all three points in the Leicestershire derby winning 1-0 at Hinckley Leicester Road on Saturday in the Pitching in Northern Premier League Midland Division.

Shepshed made four changes from Tuesday evenings 2-0 defeat at home to Spalding United bringing in Shaquille O’Neill Brooks, John King, Leo Farruch and Shaun Ruzvidzo. Dynamo started the brighter with John King firing wide on five minutes.

In a typical derby affair the next effort wasn’t until the 17th minute on his full debut Leo Farruch shooting over the bar.

Hinckley’s first chance came on 24 minutes former Shepshed player Dominic Brennan’s shot deflected into Brandon Ganley.

In a half of few chances Louie Gill found Nicholas Reeves who couldn’t direct his header goalwards on 33 minutes.

Dynamo had the final chance of the half John King finding Jadahn Fridye-Harper but his effort didn’t threaten Will Highland in the Leicester Road goal as the teams went in level at half time.

The first chance of the second half fell to Brennan on 47 minutes with Ganley punching clear his corner.

Shepshed took the lead on 50 minutes Shaun Ruzvidzo’s manoeuvred around a couple of Hinckley defenders and shot seemed to take a slight deflection and deceived Highland in the Leicester Road goal.

Like the first half chances were few and far between. Before the end Hinckley had two further chances to level the game.

Lewis Jones who scored in the reverse fixture firing straight at Ganley on 88 minutes and Ben Humphreys shot blocked on the stroke of full time.

A fairly tense and even local derby the result keeps Shepshed Dynamo tenth in the table with Corby Town the visitors to The Dovecote Stadium next Saturday.
