Late goals give Dynamo biggest win of the season

-

THREE goals in the final 20 minutes helped Loughborough Dynamo secure a 4-1 win at home to Bedworth, writes James Kendrick.

The result, which was Dynamo’s biggest home win of the season, was much needed after a run of poor results.

Midfielder Ollie Clark scored his third goal in four appearances to open the scoring in the first half.

Bedworth did get themselves back level in the second half through a Desean Martin penalty but an own goal from their goalkeeper Sam Lomax and tap ins for striker Eddie Bamfo and the impressive Tyreace Palmer helped to make the scoreline comfortable.

It became apparent quite early on that there would be goals in this game as both attacks seemed to have the edge over the opposition defence but Bedworth will be disappointed with how little they tested debutant Byran Musgrove in the Dynamo goal who replaced the suspended Lewis King.

When the opening goal game for Dynamo it was deserved but there was more than a bit of luck in the way it happened.

Ollie Clark managed to tap home his third goal in four games at the second time of asking after the keeper saved the initial effort.

Bedworth pushed for a way back into the game as the end of the first half approached but they just couldn’t find the right final ball to unlock the Dynamo defence.

Ten minutes into the second half, the referee gave a penalty to Bedworth after keeper Byran Musgrove came to collect a cross and took out Liam Murphy.

Desean Martin stepped up and sent Musgrove the wrong way to make it 1-1.

With half an hour to go, the game was finely balanced but a dreadful mistake from Bedworth keeper Sam Lomax set the tone for how the game would end.

A pass back came to Lomax in the box and as he went to clear the ball it bobbled up over his foot and went into the net.

It was the sort of luck that Dynamo have been lacking in recent weeks and they were determined to make the most of it.

They finished off the game with tap ins for both Eddie Bamfo and Tyreace Palmer to ensure they were keeping the three points.
