WE’RE into the second week of the turn around and into the run down towards the end of the winter league in the Spot On sponsored Loughborough & District Pubs & Clubs Darts League. Although we have a clear leader in Division Four it’s getting tight at the top in the other three divisions.

In Division One we now have joint leaders. Last week’s leaders by one point Ring O Bells LH were pushed all the way by Bush Rejects eventually winning 5-4. Both teams hitting 2-180’s a piece. Mark Jones and Steve Burton for the Rejects and Steve Hopkins and Leon Jarram for the Ring O Bells.

With a 6-3 away win at Barrow Cons Club Mick the Flicks the Bull & Bush Lions drew level with the Ring O Bells. Tony Spencer with a 180 for the Lions. Barrow Cons Club Waggs gang sit third eleven points behind the table toppers with a game in hand after their 7-2 away win at Royal Oak Shooters. Dave Cox with a 114 finish for the Waggs Gang. Bottom Railway DS beat the Bull & Bush Laughing Boys. Ben Quenby and Mark Smith with 180’s for the Railway and Fat Sams Exiles beat the Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes 6-3. Jay Wood with a 108 finish for the Exiles and Steve Folks with a 180 for the Foxes

The gap at the top of Division Two has now been reduced to five points after leaders Spot on Beauties and the Beasties lost 6-3 at the Royal Oak Old Uns and second placed Black Swan Jolly Sailors won 6-3 at the Three Nuns Albion. Spot on Foxes are a further nine points behind in third after their 5-4 home defeat to The Crown Hotel Shepshed. There is only 26 points difference between all the teams as fourth placed Plough Hopefuls (1 point behind the Foxes) lost 5-4 at the Top Railway Keep the Faith and the Three Nuns Blue Army beat the Top Railway Laffables 7-2.

It’s level pegging at the top of Division Three as well. Fat Sam 26ers who have two games in hand on the Three Nuns Doubleitus beat Paynes Army 8-1. While Doubleitus were beaten 5-4 by Spot on Waifs & Strays. Tim Hardy with a 180 for the Spot on. In third place are Swan in the Rushes A who beat the Three Crowns Hathern 5-4 and the other Hathern side The Dewdrop beat Bull & Bush County 6-3 away.

White Horse Won Tons now have a 14 point lead in Division Four after their 6-3 win over the Black Swan B Team. Barrow Cons Club 26ers moved second with a 6-3 win over the White Hart Stags a point clear of the swan. Spot No Stars beat Barrow Cons Club Disconbobulated 6-3 and the Greenfield Wildcats lost 5-4 at home to the Tap & Clapper.

Three Nuns No Habits now join Barrow Cons 26ers in joint second place after they were given a 5-0 win due to The Boating Boyz fielding an illegal player.

Spot on Waifs and Strays took the final place in the final four of the Division 3 & 4 Knockout Cup. The Semi Finals of both cup competitions are to be played Thursday March 9 and the draw for these games will be live on Facebook approximately 7.15pm next Thursday.
