Bull & Bush Lions open lead at the top

THERE was a full set of fixtures in all four divisions this week in the Loughborou­gh & District Pubs & Clubs Darts League.

Prior to the start two teams shared the lead in Division One but after the latest round of results Bull and Bush Lions now have a six point lead at the top after their 7-2 win over Fat Sams Exiles. Kev Bryan with a 101 finish for the Lions.

Ring O Bells LH are now second after their 6-3 loss at home to Barrow Cons Club Mick the Flicks. Michael Walker with a maximum for the Flicks. Barrow Cons Club Waggs Gang are third a further five points behind with a 7-2 victory over the Bush Rejects. Dave Cox with a 126 finish for Waggs Gang.

In a close game Bottom Railway DS beat Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes 5-4 away and Royal Oak Shooters beat Bull & Bush Laughing Boys 6-2 away. A 180 for both teams Paul Carvill for the Laughing Boys and Matthew Ball for the Shooters.

The gap at the top of Division Two remains five points as both the Spot on Beauties and the Beasties and the Black Swan Jolly Sailors both won 5-4 against the Three Nuns Albion and Top Railway Keep the Faith respective­ly. Joanne Sciepanow with a 106 finish for the Beauties and the Beasties. In a tight division the gap between the Three Nuns Blue Army and bottom of the table Three Nuns Albion is only six points. The Three Nuns Blue Army won 5-4 against Plough Hopefuls who are point behind in fourth. The Royal Oak Old Uns won 6-3 away at The Crown Shepshed and are joint fourth with a game in hand on the Blue Army. Finally the Top Railway Laffables beat the Spot on Foxes 8-1 at home.

Fat Sam 26ers lead Division Three by five points and with a game in hand after their 6-3 win over Spot on Waifs and Strays. Swan in the Rushes moved back into second as they beat now third placed Three Nuns Doubleitus 6-3 away. The Three Crowns beat the Peacock A-Team 5-4 and the other Hathern team in the division The Dewdrop also won 5-4 against Paynes Army. To complete a hat trick of 5-4 results the Fennel Dartaholic­s beat Bush County.

The points difference at the top Division Four was reduced to nine as the top two met and second placed Barrow Cons Club came away from the White Horse Won Tons with a 6-3 win. A further four points back in third the Three Nuns No Habits lost 5-4 to Greenfield Wildcats. Tap & Clapper beat the Black Swan B Team 6-3, Barrow Cons Club Disconbobu­lated beat The Boating Boyz 8-1 and the Spot on No Stars beat the White Hart Stags 5-4.

Next week sees the Semi Finals of both the Division One and Two and Division Three and Four Cups and the draw was made on Thursday evening. In the Division One and Two Cup Barrow Cons Club Mick the Flicks face the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys and the Bottom Railway DS play Ring O Bells LH.

The Semi Final ties in the Division Three and Four are Spot on Waifs and Strays against Barrow Cons Club 26ers and Tap & Clapper versus Peacock A-Team. Next Thursday is also the perfect opportunit­y for teams with games in hand to catch up.
