Programme of events to put va-va-voom into your year!
FROM speciality markets and car shows to traditional favourites such as Loughborough Fair and the Christmas lights switch-on, there is something for all Charnwood residents to look forward to in 2023.
A programme of events organised by Charnwood Borough Council and Love Loughborough gets under way with a vegan market in Loughborough town centre on Sunday, March 12.
To mark the coronation weekend in the second weekend of May, the council is planning a themed market on Saturday, May 6.
Later in the year there’s a car show and an event to mark the 100th anniversary of the Carillon Tower is being planned for July.
The council’s Living Loughborough project will see £2.87 million spent on the town centre. An Urban Plaza will be created with more seating along with the use of semi-permanent stalls to encourage pop-up markets and street activity.

“We are having speciality markets, events in the park and we’ll be once again hosting Loughborough Fair.
“Some of these events like the fair are part of our heritage, but others such as the vegan market, are new to Loughborough in recent years and have already proved incredibly popular.”
