Coldplay tribute band set to perform at Memorial Centre

-

Coldplace, the world’s leading tribute to Coldplay, celebrate their 20th year in 2023, and will be exploding onto the stage at the Memorial Centre in Mountsorrel on Friday 19th May, for an out of this world evening, as they bring you their full production of Music of the Spheres.

Having just been nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Coldplay are the hottest ticket around, and if you’ve missed out on tickets to their three sold-out UK tour dates next year, then come along and see the next best thing.

“I cannot believe that next year we will be celebrating our 20th year as a band,” says Shane Crofts, lead singer of Coldplace.

“When we first started out Coldplay only had two albums out, Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head.”

“We took our new show, Music of the Spheres, on tour for the first time this year, and the response has been mindblowing,” continued Shane. “We can’t wait now to expand the tour and bring it to new areas of the UK.”

Released in 2021, Music of the Spheres is Coldplay’s latest album, and they remain to be one of the most influential bands of the 21st century, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

“The show is not simply a repertoire of Music of the Spheres, but of the whole Coldplay back catalogue,” said Shane. “It can be tough thinking which songs to include as there are so many, and they each mean something different to everyone. I can’t actually choose a favourite as for me, each song has a different element. Some are ballads which I love the emotion of, and just being sat at the piano, and some are full energy with confetti and lasers.”

To enable the audience to feel a part of the show, Coldplace will be bringing along the official Xylobands LED wristbands, which will light up in time with the music creating a dazzling atmosphere in the theatre.

“The Xylobands really enhance the performance, and it’s magical looking out from stage seeing everyone’s hands in the air and their wristbands glowing,” said Shane. “Also expect a few surprises along the way as well as full lasers and confetti canons. It truly is a night not to be missed, and we can’t wait to get on the stage.”
