Bull & Bush Lions tighten grip at top

LAST week’s fixtures left three remaining Thursdays of the Spot On sponsored Loughborou­gh & District Pubs & Clubs Darts League Winter Season.

After back to back victories Bull & Bush Lions have opened up an 18 point gap at the top of Division One beating Three Nuns Blue Moon Foxes 5-4 the previous week Richard Hawes with a 180 for the Foxes and the Bottom Railway DS 6-3 last week. Ben Ashurst with a 180 for the Lions and Chris Peat for the Railway in the all Shepshed affair. There are two teams now joint second Barrow Cons Club Waggs Gang have two games in hand on the Lions after a 6-3 win over fellow Cons Club side Mick the Flicks the week before.

Jaikob Rivas-Selby with a 180 for Mick the Flicks and Mark Wagg for Wagg Gang and there game against Fat Sams Exiles 26ers was called off last week. The roles were reversed for the other second placed team Ring O Bells LH they didn’t play the previous week but lost 6-3 at home to the Three Nuns Blue Moon Foxes last week. Leon Jarram with a 127 finish for the Ring O Bells who also have a game in hand on the Lions. The two second place teams have now forged a ten point gap on fourth place.

Bottom Railway DS hold the fourth place despite their two 6-3 defeats the previous week to Royal Oak Shooters. A great night for The Shooters Neil Pullen with a 180 and 118 and 120 finishes. In the all Bull & Bush derby the Rejects came out 7-2 winners over the Laughing Boys and then last week both were to lose the Laughing Boys 8-1 to Mick the Flicks and the Rejects 6-3 to the Shooters.

The Spot on Beauties & the Beasties lead at the top of Division Two has now been reduced to three points after they lost their latest two games 5-4 away to Top Railway Keep the Faith. Lee Hardy hitting a 180 for the Spot on in that game and then 6-3 at home to the Three Nuns Blue Army. The Black Swan Jolly Sailors are second despite defeat to Three Nuns Blue Army and Spot on Foxes both 5-4. The Plough Hopefuls are third four points further behind after two consecutiv­e victories 8-1 away at Spot on Foxes. Sean Johnston with a 180 for the Plough in that game and a 5-4 win over the Crown Shepshed last week.

The Swan in the Rushes A remain top of Division Three although other teams do have games in hand they are nine points clear after they beat Spot on Waifs & Strays 5-4. The Three Nuns Doubleitus are second having played a game more than the Swan and three more than third placed Fat Sams 26ers.

White Horse Won Tons hold an 18 point lead in Division Four while in second place are the Black Swan B-Team.
