Inflatables festival on its way for summer days out

-

A fun-packed children’s festival filled with an array of inflatables is heading to Leicestershire next month. Funtopia will be at Syston’s Central Park on Saturday, May 27 as part of its 2023 summer tour.

It will then return to the county in the summer, visiting Syston on Saturday, July 29 and making its first appearance in Loughborough on Saturday, June 25. Funtopia runs from 11.30am until 5.30pm.

Designed for under 10s, the event includes role play areas, sumo suits, huge water fights, stage shows, giant inflatable games and character meet and greets. There is also an under-fives area and what are described as “high energy inflatables.”

The festival has several new attractions this summer, which include The Baby Zone, where the tiniest of visitors can learn and play and a giant 110ft obstacle course, where both kids and grown-ups can compete. The Fun-Farm is a role play area where children can run their own farm, and there will be new stage shows and workshops too.

After successfully trialling autism-friendly sessions last year, the 2023 tour will feature an autism friendly session at the start of every Funtopia event. These will take place daily between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Numbers are limited and tickets can be purchased in advance via Eventbrite. According to Funtopia, with the ever-increasing costs of living, it has decided to keep the 2022 ticket prices for this summer. “This year we believe it is more important to offer all families the opportunity to enjoy a day out together,” said Sarah Green, Funtopia director.

“Once you have paid to enter, all the activities are included in the price. For only £10 per child, visitors can enjoy a full day of fun!”

It’s £10 for children over 90cm, £2.50 for adults, with children under 90cm free.
