Loughborou­gh and District Pubs and Clubs Darts League brings its winter season to an end... now it’s onto the summer!

THURSDAY evening saw the conclusion of the Spot On Sponsored Loughborou­gh & District Pubs & Clubs Darts League Winter Season 2023 with an event held at The Spot On Loughborou­gh.

Prior to the Darts action there was a general meeting and registrati­on for the Summer 2023 season,

The darts commenced with the two knockout Cups being played simultaneo­usly. Both games were keenly contested in the Division One and Two Cup Barrow Cons

Club Mick the Flicks were crowned champions with a 5-3 victory over Ring O Bells LH and the Division Three and Four Final was even closer with the game going to a beer leg decider with the Spot on Waifs and Strays claiming the cup with a 5-4 victory over The Peacock A-Team.

After this there was the nine dart challenge where players who had scored a 180 were invited to participat­e. An outstandin­g 28 players took part with John Allenby of the Three Nuns Blue Army taking the prize with an excellent score of 321 (an average of over 100 per throw).

After a brief interlude for food the presentati­on of the trophies and prize monies were presented to the following;

Division One Winners: Bull & Bush Lions, 2nd Placed - Ring O Bells LH, 3rd Placed - Barrow Cons Club Waggs Gang Division Two Winners: Spot on Beauties and the Beasties, 2nd placed - Three Nuns Blue Army, 3rd Placed The Plough Hopefuls
