Back to back shoot-out wins for Charnwood

-

CHARNWOOD Ladies recently travelled to Louth for their Regional Match in the National League.

Emily Rodbourne and Holly Cheeseman won both their singles and teamed up to win their doubles matches. However, Mary Nevill and Bea Cooper lost their singles and a very close doubles match, leaving the match at 3-3 and so a shootout ensued.

This is where two singles tiebreaks are played to 10 are played, and if it’s 1-1 after this, a doubles tie-break to 10 is played.

Rodbourne and Cheeseman played their singles tie-breaks and both won, meaning Charnwood won the match in around five hours of excellent tennis.
