Responsible drinking to be encouraged

-

Some media outlets etc encourage people to have a Dry January after the excesses of the Festive Season. Camra encourage responsible drinking at all times and the last thing pubs want in the New Year is a lot of their customers sitting at home and staying away from the pubs for a month.

The media should encourage responsible diets rather than focusing on alcohol. It’s no use sitting at home and having a unhealthy diet and stopping sensible drinking. I know a lot don’t go to pubs and drink at times irresponsibly at home on overcheap in comparison to pubs etc prices. At least if you walk to the pub etc you are getting some exercise, have a good time over Christmas and the new year and then support your local at a time of the year they need your custom more than ever
