HINCKLEY LRFC 1 SHEPSHED DYNAMO 0 Northern Premier League Midland Division

SHEPSHED Dynamo travelled to highflying Hinckley Leicester Road looking to return to winning ways but succumbed to a 1-0 defeat thanks to a first half winner.

Shepshed started the game brightly, in the first minute Cummings danced through the Hinckley defence before stinging the gloves of Highland.

Next effort came on seven minutes, Master’s corner found Cummings who again fired into Highland, then two minutes later Wakefield struck an effort from distance straight at Highland.

The first chance for Hinckley came on 10 minutes, a floated cross from Williams was headed in to Ganley by Nuttall.

Dynamo thought they’d broken the deadlock on 20 minutes, Master’s free kick was headed home by Wakeling but called back for a push in the box

A minute later, Read blazed over a guilt edged chance for the hosts after being unleashed by Daire.

The hosts then did take the lead, on 24 minutes, Tendai Daire curled his free kick round the wall and into the bottom left corner.

Dynamo responded well, on 26 minutes Master’s cross was caught well by Highland and on the Half hour mark, Wakefield’s left footed effort was again caught by Highland.

On 32 minutes Hinckley could have been two to the good, Daire battled hard and won the ball back off Lynch before miss hitting his shot from close range

Dynamo’s best chance of half came on 37 minutes, FridyeHarper pulling the ball back to Wakefield who’s thunderous volley was brilliantly saved by a diving Highland.

Five minutes later, Lynch fed Cummings whose cross bounced just too high for Lee who fired over under pressure.

It was then a second half void of clear cut chances as Dynamo battled against the wind with the home side having the lions share of possession without troubling Ganley.

The first real chance came on 71 minutes, Smith drove out of defence before feeding Cummings whose effort was tipped over by Highland.

It was then in to the final minutes when Dynamo came closest to a leveller, on 89 minutes, a corner came out to Fridye-Harper whose effort sailed just past the top corner.

In to stoppage time, Master created space on the left before forcing a brilliant save out of Highland. The resulting corner bounced around before Cummings’ cross found the head of Smith, who grazed the top of the crossbar.

Another defeat for Dynamo despite a promising performance sees the side enter a two week break before a trip to Bedworth United on December 23.
