STITCHES USED
Backstitch, Brick Stitch, French Knot, Satin Stitch, Split Stitch, Straight Stitch
01 Begin by creating rows of Backstitch for the lines of the lid and spout using blue. Then, fill in the rest of the kettle using Split Stitch in yellow.
02 For the flower on the right, use red to work Satin Stitch for the petals and Backstitch for the stems. Then, use pink to fill in the base with Brick Stitch and add the petal lines using Backstitch.
03 Work the stamens in Straight Stitch using blue, then add French Knots using dark blue. Add French Knots to the stems in three strands of dark blue.
04 Fill the leaves and the flower on the left with Satin Stitch using blue, yellow and green. Then, add Straight Stitch lines in pink and French Knots in red.
05 In cream, work the lid and handle in Satin Stitch, and the sides of the handle in Backstitch. Add the steam using Split Stitch in three strands of pale blue.
