Cotton tea towel: patterned

Stranded cotton: 1 skein each of blue, green, pink and red Embroidery hoop: 13cm diameter

STITCHES USED

Backstitch, Satin Stitch, Stem Stitch

01 Backstitch around the outside of the flower heads using four strands of red and pink, working in small stitches to make the curves really smooth.

02 Fill each of the flower heads with Satin Stitch using four strands of red and pink.

03 Use four strands of blue to stitch the outline of the jar in Backstitch, leaving gaps for the stems.

04 Work the stems in Stem Stitch using four strands of green, stitching through the gaps in the jar.

05 To finish the design, fill in the gaps between each of the flower heads and the stems with Satin Stitch, using four strands of green.
