When stitching through thicker fabrics, such as the canvas of a bag, you need to use a very sharp needle (such as a crewel or sharps needle) to make it easier to pierce the fabric. For this project, you’ll be stitching through the canvas of the bag as well as the logo patch, but using a sharper needle will mean the point slips through fairly easily.

We used water-soluble stabiliser to transfer the designs as the fabric of the bag is too thick to trace through.
