Buttonhole Stitch

Mark a circle and its central point on your fabric. Bring the needle up at 1, down at 2, and up at 3 with the thread under the needle. Gently pull the needle through to form a neat loop. Repeat this around the circle to complete the wheel, with the down stitches going in at 2 and the up stitches spaced evenly around the edge.
