TIPS & TRICKS
To prevent the edges of your fabric from fraying, cover them with lengths of paper tape or fold them over and tack them in place. If tacking, remove these stitches
before framing your finished piece.
Instead of displaying your finished samplers, word or
phrase in a picture frame, you could also use a wooden
wall hanger to show off your stitching.
If you are new to cross stitch, you may find it easier
to work this design on 14-count aida fabric instead because it has a clearer grid structure.
When working blocks of Cross Stitches, you might
find it quicker to work half of each stitch first before going back to finish the other halves. However, if you’re
working lots of spaced-out Cross Stitches, work each one completely before moving on to the next.
