STITCHES USED

Backstitch, French Knot, Running Stitch, Satin Stitch, Straight Stitch

01 Before you transfer the design, attach iron-on interfacing to the inside of the T-shirt behind the area you’ll be stitching (to provide extra structure).

02 Working in two strands of very dark grey, start by

stitching the solid lines around the moon phases in Backstitch. Then, use Running Stitch to work the dotted lines connecting each of the phases.

03 Now, switch to two strands of bronze gold and fill each of the moon phases with horizontal Satin Stitch. To keep your stitches even, work a few guideline stitches across the shapes first and then go back and fill in the gaps. Now, add the Straight Stitch stars at the top, bottom and sides, then add the French Knots between the phases and at the top and bottom.
