Variated Backstitch

This filling stitch is ideal when you want a rougher texture to your work so is especially useful for stems, stalks and branches. It can be used to fill any size or shape and is worked randomly. Fill the area with Backstitches keeping them facing in the same direction but with different lengths until the fabric beneath is covered.
