Cut the three fabrics to the same size (approx 25 x25cm) before you start to trace the template. This will help guide you when you layer the pieces on top of one another for stitching.

Cut away any frayed edges on the fabric layers as you’re stitching along the edges – this will give you a smoother and cleaner hidden fabric edge.
