Fly Stitch

Bring the needle up at 1, down at 2, back up at 3 (coming over the thread of the first stitch), then pull it through. Make a short stitch to secure the ‘V’ shape (4) to complete one Fly Stitch. To create a vertical line, place the stitches below each other.
