Loly Ghirardi, the creative force behind Señorita Lylo is a Barcelona based embroidery artist and graphic designer. “Barcelona welcomed me 19 years ago and here I am, still enchanted, between the sea and the mountains,” Loly says. A graduate of the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Loly has always enjoyed designing, falling in love with the art of handmade, and hand embroidery in particular in the years since her graduation. Loly is an inspiring teacher of embroidery techniques, with online courses available through Domestika (www.domestika.org) as well as in-person classes in Barcelona. Her vibrant embroidery designs are bursting with colour and and range from fashion items like lavishly decorated detachable collars to book covers, bright and breezy hoop art and much more. Each one is filled with lots of tactile 3D details and skillful design elements, telling a story through every stitch.
