• DMC Tapestry Soft Cotton is also known as tapestry cotton, matte tapestry thread or retors mat. It is made up of five non-divisible strands which cannot be split so should be stitched whole as one strand. Not to be confused with tapestry wool, which is thicker and more fluffy.

• It is a good idea to remove your hoop between stitching sessions to avoid damaging the weave of the fabric.

• When stitching onto clothing make sure you use colourfast threads to prevent your colours bleeding in the wash. Check the label for washing information.
