Braided Chain Stitch

Begin with a Lazy Daisy Stitch but make the securing stitch slightly longer. Come up at 1 and slide the needle under the securing stitch. Then, go back down at 1 to form a loop. Start braiding by bringing the needle up at 2 then over the outside loop, under the inside one, then down again at 2. Repeat to form a row.
