Star Stitch
Bring the needle out at 1, then into the centre. Bring the needle out again at 2 and back into the centre in the same hole as before. Continue stitching in this way, always working back into the centre each time. You will probably find a small hole is created in the fabric at the centre, which is a decorative feature of this stitch.
