●● PUB is aiming to raise cash to fight cancer with an 80s night.

The party will take place at the Spinners Arms on Saturday from 8pm until late.

Admission is free. The event supports Cancer Research UK. ●● THE Ladies Probus Club is holding a social coffee morning at the civic hall.

The event is on Tuesday at 10am. ●● BOLLINGTON and District Horticultu­ral Society will be hosting a talk from Peter Woollam.

He will discuss growing a garden in your kitchen on Thursday, August 21, at the Community Centre on Ovenhouse Lane.

Entry is £1.50 for members and £3 for non-members. ●● BOLLINGTON cricket players past and present are coming together for a charity match.

The game will feature Bollington Cricket Club President’s XI versus Chairman’s XI on Sunday, August 24.

As well as the sport there will be a barbecue, bar and cream teas.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. ●● A GROUP of textile artists are preparing for a new exhibition.

Stitch on Stitch will be showing off its work at Threadmill, Bollington Arts Centre.

The exhibition runs from Sunday, September 7 to Sunday, October 5. ●● THE school holidays funtime club is running until August 29.

The club hosts games, sports, art, craft and baking for children aged two to 12 years old.

Children over eight have their own room with pool, table tennis, air hockey and gaming.
