Free day care offers carers a welcome break
TO celebrate National Carers Week, CLS Care Services is offering free day care at its Parklands Care Home.
The free, flexible day care service, is available until Friday, June 14, from 7am until 10pm.
It’s a perfect chance for carers to recharge their batteries while their loved one enjoys a welcome change of scenery.
Parklands Care Home is situated on the Poynton Civic Centre site, on Park Lane, Poynton.
Sheila Wood-Townend, head of service at CLS Homes, said: “We understand that caring for a loved one is a tough job, and sometimes you might need a break. Day care can offer a bit of time away from the normal routine and a rest for everybody involved, which can be good for both the carer and the person being cared for.
“Carers make a hugely valuable contribution to our society and we are keen to help spread this message by celebrating campaigns such as Carers Week. There’s a lot of good support and information out there, and knowing about it can make all the difference to a carer’s life.”
