Sue said: “It’s my 18th year anniversary with the Chamber this year and over those years I’ve worked on every aspect of the business and now manage it on a day-to-day basis.

“The Chamber provides business support to help businesses grow and provide a platform for our members to raise their profile and market them- selves, and for the second year now we are taking the lead in all the organisation of the awards – so when you’re in contact with the awards team it’ll undoubtedly be the Chamber team you’re speaking to.”

Which award are you sponsoring?

Small Business of the Year Award.

Why have you got involved with the business awards?

Being a business support organisation, the Chamber works with companies of all sizes and all sectors throughout North East Cheshire, so we know how many fantastic businesses there are.

The awards are a great opportunity for those businesses to really raise their profile and get the recognition they deserve.

Why did you choose to sponsor that particular award?

Small businesses are the lifeblood of the local economy and we help many small fledgling businesses to grow and succeed. We understand the issues they have and provide help and advice to help overcome those issues – so for us it’s a perfect fit.

Why is North East Cheshire such a great place to do business?

North East Cheshire has always produced an exceptionally high number of entrepreneurs, making it an exciting and vibrant place to be in business.

It’s a great place to both live and work, you can be in beautiful countryside within minutes or if you want city life it’s only a train journey away.

What is your best piece of business advice?

Come to the Chamber for whatever business advice you need – if we don’t know, we know someone who does!

Whether you’re just starting in business or are well established, the Chamber is here to offer support.

Anything else you would like to add?

This is a fantastic event for the local business community, so get involved and be part of it – there’s an award category for every business to enter whatever size and sector.

And the gala dinner in November is amazing – probably the biggest business event in North East Cheshire. We do hope you’ll join us.
