●● JAZZ is back at Bollington Arts Centre with an event on Saturday, September 5.

This will feature an appearance by Jeff Barnhart’s New “Fats” Waller Show.

Bernard Selby, from the event, said: “Jeff hails from Connecticu­t and is the most amazing piano virtuoso whose interpreta­tion of the songbook of the legendary Thomas ‘Fats’ Waller has enthralled audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.

“As big a personalit­y as ‘Fats’ himself and a born raconteur Jeff is a true entertaine­r, which means a great night for those lucky enough to get a ticket.”

The start time is 8pm.

The players at Bollington Cricket Club invite visitors to the event at the Recreation Ground on Sunday, August 30, 1pm. It will be a chance to watch teams selected by the President and Chairman, a bar, barbecue, cream teas, cakes, tombola, raffle and auction.

The match will feature special guests and Bollington Cricket Club players past and present, as well as a welcome back to Manchester City Legend Shaun Goater.

It will again raise money for the club’s nominated charity, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. ●● A TALENT show will take place at the Cock and Pheasant, Bollington Road on Monday, August 31, from midday.
