Software firm moves in at park

A LEADING provider of software solutions to the hospitality industry has moved to Tytherington Business Park.

Fourth has more than 1,000 customers in 57 countries and provides companies such as Pizza Express, Jamie’s Italian and Travelodge with ‘cloud-based’ software that can be accessed anywhere and gives customers full control of their spending in key business areas including labour, inventory, HR and payroll.

The Tytherington based part of the company, which manages company payrolls, has relocated from Winterton House in Macclesfield to Greenway House, which provides double the office space for up to 150 staff.

The 8,205 sq ft second floor office, owned by Orbit Developments, will allow the company to expand its operations.

Established in 1999, Fourth was the brainchild of serial restaurateurs Derek and Edwina Lilley.

The duo developed a variety of software products that could help businesses gain maximum control over their two key costs – labour and stock.

They started out in the business centre at Beechfield House on Lyme Green Business Park, then moved to the adjacent Winterton House in 2010, taking 4,478 sq ft on a five-year lease.

Sheryl Cox, head of bureau services at Fourth, said: “Our growth strategy at Fourth has always been supported along the way by local landlord Orbit Developments who have helped us secure the right office space for our business to grow”.

She added: “It was important to find a space that we could make our own and fit with our culture. We love our new space at Tytherington, it’s a great place to work and we look forward to growing our fantastic team here.”

The company is currently hiring for four positions: a payroll manager, a trainee payroll specialist and two administrators, and plan to recruit more staff in the next financial year.
