Keeper Jalal’s deal until new year
MACCLESFIELD Town goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has signed a new contract with the club that will see him remain with the Silkmen until the New Year.
Jalal, pictured, was a free agent when he initially joined on a one month deal, but after a string of impressive performances, has now committed his future to Macc for the remainder of 2015.
The 32-year-old picked up the man of the match award during his home debut against Southport, and has featured in all but two of the games so far this season.
Jalal has played for a number of clubs during his career, with his most prominent spell coming when he spent six years with Bournemouth, making nearly 150 appearances.
The Iraq international was with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur as a teenager, and has also played for Bury, Peterborough United and Northampton Town during his career.
