Last chance to make bid for awards
BUSINESS types have just one week to go to get entries in for this year’s North East Cheshire Business Awards.
The glittering awards offer a chance for businesses of all types in Macclesfield and the area to have a go at winning an honour for making a con- tribution to the business community.
The organisers of the event say it’s an opportu- nity not to be missed to get a bit of recognition for your business and meet other like-minded people from companies who could help your firm thrive.
The deadline for businesses to enter the awards is now only a week away - on Wednesday, September 30 - so organisers from the Macclesfield Chamber of Commerce, which supports businesses in the town, urge people to get entries submitted.
Sue Bowden, from the chamber which is handling all the organisation and administration for the awards, said: “The number of entries we’ve had so far is way up on last year.
“The momentum is really building as awareness and interest in the awards just gets better every year. There’s less than a week to go now to the entry deadline so don’t miss out.
“Get writing that winning entry now and be part of this fantastic celebration of business in North East Cheshire.”
There are 10 award categories which celebrate the best of business in the area at a glittering ceremony later this year.
They are open to entry from businesses from across the area and both self and third party nominations are welcome.
The awards recognise outstanding achievement, leadership and a positive contribution to the success of the local business community.
Entries must be received by 5pm on Wednesday, September 30. The categories are Business of the Year with Turnover over £5 million; Business of the Year with Turnover £1 million to £5 million; Small Business of the Year; Innovation and Design; Excellence in Customer Service; Team of the Year; Best use of Social Media; Start-up of the Year; Best Design/ Creative Campaign; and Best Company to Work For. Winners will be presented with their trophies at a gala dinner on Thursday, November 19 at The Mere. Entry forms are available by visiting necbawards.co.uk.
