●● BOLLINGTON Light Opera Group is preparing for its next show.

Singers from the group are rehearsing for the show entitled Showtime.

The week-long show will have musical numbers from Chicago, Les Miserables, Grease and Moulin Rouge – not forgetting the odd funny sketch.

As part of the entrance fee a warming hotpot will be served by the cast direct to tables.

The show is at Bollington Civic Hall from November 17 to 21 at 7.30pm each night. Email blogbookin­gs@aol. com or call 01625 431038 for tickets. ●● A DECISION is expected on a plan to convert the town’s old Natwest bank into a vet’s surgery,

Bollington Veterinary Centre on Grimshaw Lane wants to move into the former bank on Ashbrook Road.

The building would be extended to accommodat­e the surgery.

The vets wants to relocate to the site to give improved facilities and secure a future in the town and for its 10 staff.

The applicatio­n is submitted to Cheshire East council and a decision is expected soon. ●● A NIGHT of 80s music will take place at the Spinners Arms.

The I Love the 80s event starts at 8pm on Saturday, September 26.

It’s free admission and supports local charities as well as the fund in aid of those affected by the explosion at the wood mill in Bosley earlier this year. ●● CHARITY Christians Against Poverty will hold job club sessions on Mondays starting on September 28.

The charity runs job clubs to help people get into employment, with sessions to meet other jobseekers, get support and gain skills to find work.

The events will take place at the Christian Life Church, from 1pm to 4pm.
