Estate agent makes ‘amazing’ gift to trust

-

JORDAN Fishwick, one of the north west’s leading independent agents, has been raising funds for the Rossendale Trust.

The Rossendale Trust provides supported living care to adults with learning and physical disabilities, in purposebuilt apartments across the region.

Money raised has been helping go towards funding a new scheme the trust is implementing named Worktaste; to provide support to people with learning difficulties who are entering the workplace, and to help the employer and employee get value out of the roles that employers provide.

This helps the individual to learn about work discipline and build confidence in their abilities.

Martin Moston, partner at the Jordan Fishwick Manchester office, was delighted to present the cheque for more than £6,000.

He said: “We were hoping to raise £20,000 for The Rossendale Trust, to help with all the different projects it has, the £6,000 donation is only the beginning.

“With plans on the horizon to open two more Jordan Fishwick offices by next year, one in Withington and one in Disley, we are hoping to smash the £20,000 target and raise even more money for this worthy charity.”

The cheque was presented to the trust’s head of fundraising, Sue Heaven, along with Katie Tamblyn, and Steve Nicholls, chief executive officer at The Rossendale Trust.

Sue said: “Many thanks go to Jordan Fishwick for this donation. We really appreciate the support. We have never had anything donated on this scale before, it really is amazing.”

Senior partner at Jordan Fishwick, Martin Fishwick added: “We are delighted that we have been able to donate to such a worthwhile scheme, which has seen the trust work with many large businesses in the local area.”
