‘I am committed to delivering for residents’
RACHEL Bailey is Cabinet member for Children and Families and represents Audlem, where she lives. She has been a councillor since May 1998 and joined Cabinet in 2010.
She took over control of the council’s Local Plan last year.
Rachel has worked as a medical secretary and PA and runs the family dairy farm in partnership with her husband and son.
She said: “I am the unifying candidate who will enable both stability and connectivity within the group.
“I am committed to delivering for our residents, not least in providing value for money services.
“I will set the platform to build on the achievements of Alderley Park and HS2 to name but two, as well as continuing the work to deliver our strategic projects across the borough including our two key service centres of Macclesfield and Crewe.
“My service as a councillor has afforded me a experience across many areas of the council.
“I believe that my understanding of such a number of areas strengthens the opportunity for me to continue working alongside colleagues to ensure that Cheshire East remains one of the best places to live in the North West and indeed the country.”
