Talking shop: Volunteers are needed to keep sales soaring
EAST Cheshire Hospice is on the lookout for volunteers to help in its two shops at Thornton Square and Chestergate.
The charity also requires assistance with its eBay sales and to help collect furniture for the shops.
Staff are needed especially for Saturdays when both shops get particularly busy.
No specific experience is required and on the job training will be provided.
Retail manager Mick Prescott said: “Our shops and online sales bring in a significant amount of income for the hospice, helping us raise the £7,500 we need to stay open each day.
“We’d love to welcome volunteers of any age or background and it’s a great way to gain experience and meet new people as well as support the hospice.”
A driver collects furniture three days a week for the shops and a driver’s mate is needed to go along to help carry goods, so heavy lifting is involved.
