Micheal Daws said: “Volunteers are the life blood of our charity and we couldn’t operate without them. They bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and team spirit to the organisation.
“I would encourage anyone to come and volunteer with us, as there is such a varied choice of volunteering roles.
“It’s a fantastic way to build your CV, learn new skills, make friends and there is a real sense of community.
“It has given me great pleasure to plan and organise these awards and even more so to see the reaction of those presented with awards.”
Beryl said: “[Volunteering] is great fun and it’s like being part of one big happy family.”
