●● THE owner of number four Houghley Close has applied for planning permission to build a single storey front extension to the hallway of the house.

Comments on the application should be made to Cheshire East Council before Monday, August 15, with a decision on the application scheduled for September 19. ●● TYTHERINGTON Family Worship Church is running a Holiday Club from Tuesday, August 30 until Friday, September 2.

The church is running the club together with 360 Sportz, an education service for children between the ages of four and 18, which provides sports coaching and life skills training based on Christian principles.

The club is for children aged between five and 11 years and wil include crafts, cooking, games, stories, songs and a host of other fun activities.

It costs £15 to attend all four days and starts at 9.30am with a noon finish each day.

To book a place call Mike and Julie Smith on 01625 611 642. ●● THERE will also be a Teenth Quilters session on Saturday, August 13 at Tytherington Family Worship Church from 9am until 4.30pm.

The Teenth Quilters vary in age and experience, but all enjoy patchwork and quilting.

Quilting can be done using a machine or by hand.

The sessions also include workshops where it is possible to learn new techniques.

The group has been running for more than 16 years with participants able to go on long weekends away to enjoy fellowship around the sewing machine and walks in the country.
