CANALSIDE 102.8 FM

WE are pleased to announce that, from Monday, August 1, we will have an all new on-air sound.

This will include all new jingles to introduce our news, sport, travel and weather updates.

We will have all our presenters on air, including Mark Eeles waking you up every morning from 6.30am, Nick Wright on the Morning Show from 8am and Mark Blackman in the afternoon from 3pm until 6pm.

We also have some new presenters who are currently undergoing training. We will let you know their names and what times their shows will be on-air as soon as we can, so why not tune in to us on Canalside’s The Thread 102.8 FM or via the website www. thethread.org.uk.

We had hoped to launch our new website on August 1, but sadly some last minute gremlins have put it on hold.

Our IT experts are investigating the gremlins and we will announce once they are sorted out when you will be able to take a look at the new website.

From July 29, we have slightly changed the way we run our competitions where you can win vouchers for some of the top restaurants and takeaway establishments in the area. Each month there will be the opportunity to win £25 vouchers at one of two of our restaurants of the week, breakfast for two at the Rainbow Café in Macclesfield, or a £10 voucher to spend at one of our takeaway treat establishments.

For the month of August the restaurants are: The Legh Arms in Adlington and the Vale Inn in Bollington. The takeaway establishment is the Viceroy in Bollington.
