Security firm gets gold

-

A SECURITY firm which is expanding in an old mill has won a top industry award.

The team at Control Group International specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of electronic security systems from Clarence Mill in Bollington.

The company has been awarded a gold certificate by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI). This is the security industry’s highest professional certification.

In addition to this, the firm has expanded its premises in Clarence Mill, after first starting trading in 2007 when founder and MD Stuart Fannon took a small office there.

It is also getting involved in the community and is sponsoring the charity Circus Starr when it comes to Macclesfield in September.

Stuart said: “The recognition by NSI is something we’re very proud of and comes at an exciting time for us.

“As well as employing local people, we hope to become more involved in community initiatives and events. This summer we are thrilled to be supporting Circus Starr which features acrobats, dancers and entertainers from across the globe and supports disabled, underprivileged and vulnerable children across the UK through a 75-venue tour held three times a year.

“We’ve agreed a sponsorship package which will enable seven children to attend.

“Bollington has always been our home and continues to be so in our future planning.”
