New branding will help garden firm grow
A GARDEN design firm has had a boost after investing in new branding.
Matt Nichol Garden Design is based in Poynton and was established in 2011.
The specialist garden design company is owned by Matt Nichol who works alongside lead designer Sarah Heyes.
With 20 years of industry experience between them, they combine expertise in garden building, ecological project management and sensitive environmental design.
Now they have overhauled their branding to help their business grow into the future.
They have teamed up with brand agency Dawn Creative in Cheadle Hulme to come up with a new visual identity, website and other branding material.
Matt said: “We wanted to create a high quality visual identity to align with our service offering and ensure a consistent client experience.
“We’re confident that this reinforces our credentials as a garden design specialist with an eye for meticulous detail and the ability to seamlessly manage a project from conception through to completion.”
The company teamed up with brand design and development experts at Dawn to create a newlook identity incorporating a refreshed logotype, type style, colour palette and photography, reinforced by a responsive website and a suite of brand literature.
The identity developed by Dawn incorporates geometric elements typically found within garden design, such as equilibrium, simplicity, contrast and character.
David O’Hearns, founder of Dawn Creative, said: “In many ways, our brand development process mirrored elements of garden design, with creative interpretation of paving, terrain and layout evident throughout.
“We were keen to develop a clean, high calibre brand to reflect the business’s standout qualities.”
Matt has experience of building show gardens with the team at the Chelsea Flower Show over numerous years.
He now focuses purely on designing gardens but still relies on his extensive experience of the construction process when working on his schemes.
Designer Sarah Heyes gained her Diploma in Garden Design in 2011 and worked as a freelance designer for two years before joining Matt Nichol Garden Design in 2013.
