RECENT cases heard at South and east Cheshire magistrates court.
ANDREW Malcolm Grindrod, 44, of Hickenfield Road, Hyde, denied drug driving in Poynton. He was bailed for a case management hearing on October 18.
REECE William John Foster, 19, of Wakefield Road, Stalybridge, admitted drug driving. He was fined £250 and banned for 12 months.
NIGEL John Grundy, 47, of Meadow Way, Macclesfield, admitted assault. He was given 40 hours unpaid work and a restraining order. He must also pay £75 compensation.
STUART David Jones, 28, of Portland Walk, Macclesfield, denied of using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and obstructing a police constable. He was bailed for the trial on November 17.
LEE Anthony Smith, 51, of Portland Walk, Macclesfield, admitted stealing meat from the Co-Op. The offence breached a conditional discharge order from November 21, 2016.
HE was given a curfew for three weeks and ordered to pay £30 compensation.
OWEN Michael Reith, 26, of Pennine Court, Macclesfield, admitted theft of food from Co-Op using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement for 20 days, and fined £40.
JOSEPH Skostakowicz, 18, of Brocklehurst Avenue, admitted possessing of an offensive weapon, namely a folding knife, in Victoria Park, and possession of cannabis. He was given 150 hours unpaid work.
DARWIN Wright, 41, of Mullindreen Road, Ballymena, Ireland, denied assault by occasioning him actual bodily harm in Poynton. He was bailed for the trial on September 19.
MICHAEL Joseph Connerney, 60, of High Street, Macclesfield, denied failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis. He was bailed for trial on September 29.
STUART Philip Benson, 53, of West Park Drive, was found guilty of criminal damage of a Honda Jazz car. He was given 120 hours unpaid work and a restraining order. He must also pay £1048.87 compensation.
MEGAN Jane Evanson, 18, of Brynmore Drive, Macclesfield, admitted possession of a three inch knife in a public place and possession of cannabis. She was fined £50 with 10 days Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.
JAMES Joseph Byrne, 52, of Princess Way, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly. He was given a conditional discharge for a year.
DANIEL Whitmore, 23, of Priory Lane, Macclesfield, admitted failing to give a specimen of breath when suspected of having driven a vehicle. He was given 200 hours unpaid work and banned from driving for 18 months.
JOHN Joseph Murphy, 41, of Sheffield Road, Hyde, admitted drink driving on London Road South in Poynton. The breathalyser reading was 131mg. The legal limit is 35mg. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for a year, 120 hours unpaid work and 10 days Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. He was banned from driving for 32 months.
JOSHUA Williamson, 24, of Palmerston Street, Bollington, appeared charged with using or threatening unlawful violence towards another. He was bailed to Chester Crown Court on September 18.
CALLUM Wright, 23, of Windsor Close, Bollington, appeared charged with using or threatening unlawful violence towards another. He was bailed to Chester Crown Court on September 18.
JAMIE Neil Wright, 27, of East Gate, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police constable. He was given a curfew for five months and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
MICHAEL James Hart, 25, of no fixed abode, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was jailed for eight weeks.
DANIEL Mark Taylor, 32, of no fixed abode, admitted two charges of failing to register an address on release from prison as part of the requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. He was jailed for 34 weeks.
JAMES Robert Bracegirdle, 36, of Barton Street, Macclesfield, denied drug driving. He was baled for the trial on October 13.
RICHARD James Nesbitt, 28, of Vicarage Way, Macclesfield, denied criminal damage. He was bailed for the trial on September 26.
NICOLA Jane Lee, 30, of Weston Square, Macclesfield, admitted theft of bedding and cutlery from B&M Bargains. She was fined £40.
