Marketing firm is in line for double award

-

A BRANDING and web development agency has been shortlisted for two business awards.

Big Brand Ideas, based on Jordangate in Macclesfield, has reached the final of two categories within the Trinity Mirror Cheshire Business Awards.

The firm impressed judges with their ‘We’re going’ campaign for Macclesfield Town Football Club, which encouraged residents to get behind the club when it reached the final of the FA Trophy. And Adam Britton, managing director of the firm’s content production arm ‘Trunk’, has been shortlisted for Young Business Person of the Year.

Jon Butler, managing director of Big Brand Ideas, said: “It’s really good to be recognised by the Cheshire Business Awards in these two categories. Adam is without a doubt one of the region’s most exciting new talents and ‘creative impact’ is exactly what Big Brand Ideas is all about – we intelligently blend insight with creativity to deliver focused business results for our clients.”

The agency was been selected as a finalist for the Creative Impact Award for its campaign which took advantage of the club’s FA Trophy Final match at Wembley Stadium to drive support for the club, including ticket and merchandise sales for the final, season tickets for the 2017-18 season and inspiring the next generation of fans.

Rob Heyes, general manager at Macclesfield Town FC, said: “It was brilliant to have the marketing expertise of Big Brand Ideas to create a campaign for our FA Trophy Final match. To take nearly 9,000 fans to Wembley was a massive achievement and we should all be proud of the work we put in to make it happen.”

The campaign included print advertising, outdoor posters, social media and a supporters’ website.

Mike Green, executive editor of Trinity Mirror Cheshire, said: “It has been fantastic to see so many Cheshire businesses rising to the challenges presented, showing not only how talented they are but also their endless determination, entrepreneurial spirit, enterprise, innovation and creativity to make it happen.”

Winners will be announced on Friday, October 6, during a ceremony at Chester Cathedral.
