Can you help at Sunflower Spectacular?
EAST Cheshire Hospice is looking for volunteers to help with street collections at a Sunflower Spectacular on Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8.
Macclesfield and Prestbury are two of the locations displaying beautiful ceramic sunflowers on those days to highlight the charity’s 30th birthday.
The sunflowers, made by Poynton Pottery, will also be on show in council planters in Poynton, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Buxton, Congleton, Knutsford and Handforth.
A minimum of six helpers are needed for each of the following six shifts: 9am to 10am (set up); 10am to 11.30am; 11.30am to 1pm; 1pm to 2.30pm; 2.30pm to 4pm; 4pm to 5pm (take down).
Lisa Ball, hospice community fundraiser, said: “We need lots of volunteers to support the bucket collections and help with the safety and logistics of displaying the ceramic sunflowers. Each volunteer receives a unique Sunflower Spectacular T-shirt.”
