Best kept village is a gem
THERE was double delight for Sutton Parish Council at the 2018 Community Pride Competition.
At the event, organised by Cheshire Community Action (CCA) and held in Frodsham, Sutton, was given the accolade of best kept village.
And the parish was also presented with a Little Gem award for Sutton Cemetery.
Sutton Parish Council chairman Andrew Waller attended the ceremony to receive the awards.
He said: “Congratulations to everyone involved in our winning entry this year.
“The Parish Council would particularly like to thank the Three Villages Community Action Group for all their hard work in making this possible.
“They have put so much into this project and are a credit to the parish.”
Councillor Hilda Gaddum added: “I was thrilled to learn that Sutton had won the Best Kept Village Competition in its class.
“This is a tremendous achievement and I fully endorse the comments of the chairman of the tireless support of a number of people.”
