Yoga and climbing centre opens
A NEW centre that combines climbing and yoga has opened in Macclesfield.
Substation Bouldering, on Queens Avenue, is owned by Simon Stanway and Sam Gladman - who say both activities have physical and metal wellbeing benefits.
It has a yoga studio and climbing facilities for people of all abilities.
The centre, which is expected to create 10 jobs within the next 12 months, was opened by Macclesfield MP David Rutley.
Mr Rutley said: “It was great to officially open Substation Bouldering and to view the range of high-quality facilities available to bring the physical and mental health benefits of climbing and yoga, providing further opportunities for local residents to stay healthy and active. I wish Simon, Sam and all involved in developing this exciting facility every success for the future.”
Substation Bouldering also has a cafe and caters for parties and corporate events. Sam said: “The whole team is incredibly excited about welcoming the people of Macclesfield to our centre. We are delighted to open the doors to climbers and yogis.”
