Yoga and climb­ing cen­tre opens

A NEW cen­tre that com­bines climb­ing and yoga has opened in Mac­cles­field.

Sub­sta­tion Boul­der­ing, on Queens Av­enue, is owned by Si­mon Stan­way and Sam Glad­man - who say both ac­tiv­i­ties have phys­i­cal and metal wellbeing ben­e­fits.

It has a yoga stu­dio and climb­ing fa­cil­i­ties for peo­ple of all abil­i­ties.

The cen­tre, which is ex­pected to cre­ate 10 jobs within the next 12 months, was opened by Mac­cles­field MP David Rut­ley.

Mr Rut­ley said: “It was great to of­fi­cially open Sub­sta­tion Boul­der­ing and to view the range of high-qual­ity fa­cil­i­ties avail­able to bring the phys­i­cal and men­tal health ben­e­fits of climb­ing and yoga, pro­vid­ing fur­ther op­por­tu­ni­ties for lo­cal res­i­dents to stay healthy and ac­tive. I wish Si­mon, Sam and all in­volved in de­vel­op­ing this ex­cit­ing fa­cil­ity ev­ery suc­cess for the fu­ture.”

Sub­sta­tion Boul­der­ing also has a cafe and caters for par­ties and cor­po­rate events. Sam said: “The whole team is in­cred­i­bly ex­cited about wel­com­ing the peo­ple of Mac­cles­field to our cen­tre. We are de­lighted to open the doors to climbers and yo­gis.”
